'Coorie' is an old Scots term traditionally meaning to 'snuggle'. Nestled on the banks of the Crinan Canal, Cairnbaan, Argyll on the West Coast of Scotland is a fresh, light and contemporary newly renovated Victorian cottage. Perfect to renew and recharge in beautiful surroundings,
The cottage is suitable for four people and upto two well behaved four legged friends by prior arrangement.
Downstairs makes the most of the views with an open plan lounge/dining kitchen.
Upstairs are two bedrooms sleeping a total of four. Bedroom one with direct views over the Crinan Canal has a king sized canopy bed and bedroom two at the rear, sleeps two in a double bed.
The bathroom has a spacious walk in shower cubicle, WC, sink and plenty of storage.
Outside, the South facing patio garden is furnished with comfortable furniture and directly overlooks the Crinan Canal, - an ideal spot to sit, relax and watch the yachts pass by.
Should you wish to bring your bicycles along to explore the area on two wheels, Coorie Doon Cairnbaan has a lockable bicycle storage unit for guests to use.

We are dog friendly. Two well behaved dogs are welcome - £3.00 per dog per night and need to be pre-booked.

Coorie Doon Cairnbaan sits on the banks of the Crinan Canal with its constant summer traffic of yachts taking the 'short cut' up from the Clyde to the Hebrides.
On the doorstep are an array of walks, running and cycling routes - from quiet side roads towards the sea and challenging tracks into the nearby woods. Fishing sailing and golf are also close by. The Crinan Canal can be accessed directly from the cottage and is around nine miles long. It connects Ardrishaig on Loch Gilp to Crinan at is Western end. Coorie Doon is a fantastic base from which to explore the Kintyre Peninsula.
Historical and archaeological places are right on the doorstep. A short walk away are the estoteric cup and ring carvings as well as castles and ancient chapels only a short drive away. Kilmartin, a short drive or cycle away is rich in archaeological remains of Neolithic and early Bronze age monuments.
Argyll in renowned for its seafood. Fish, scallops, oysters, lobster and langoustine are just a few of the outstanding fresh sea produce which thrive in the clear cold waters of the Lochs and Atlantic Ocean. Local cafes and restaurants serve the freshest of local produce in breathtaking surroundings.
